Our Staff

Georgina 

Out of School Club Manager 

Georgina, our longest serving staff member works within preschool as well as managing the Out of School Club, She is an real expert in homemade fruit crumbles and loves colouring! 

She is also a SENCO, ENCO and our Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Cloe 

Preschool manager

Cloe joined Smarties as Preschool Manager in November 2023 after working within the childcare sector for over 10 years.

Cloe loves chocolate and Planning events! she is great at it too!

Cloe is our Designated Safeguarding Lead, SENCO and is currently completing her Level 6.

 

 

 

Donna

 

Deputy Manger and Pre-school leader

 

Donna joined us just over a year ago. she has worked locally with children for over 25 years.

 

Donna is always cracking a joke and is the best at reading books. 

 

Donna is our Designated safegaurding lead.

Charlotte

 

Early Years Practitioner (Level 3)

 

Charlotte rejoined Smarties in March 2023 and has had a varied career in the childcare industry. Gentle and patient,  she especially loves exploring outside with the children as well as messy play.

Charlotte has a bouncy cockapoo and is often seen walking him aroun the village.

Chalotte recently completed her SEN training and is now our SENCO. 

 

Keziah

Preschool Apprentice

Keziah joined us in June 2022 and works within the Preschool as well as at the Out of School Club too. She recently completed her Level 2 qualification with us and is now completing her Level 3.

Keziah is the queen of making flapjack and has the best nails!

 

 

Cora

Vicky

Chair

Victoria joined as a Committee Member in 2020 and took over the Chairman role in June 2021. She is an Associate Professor of Research at a local university and co-founder and director of ImmuOne.

 Lorraine

Treasurer

Lorraine joined the committee in 2021 and took over as Treasurer in April 2022. She works part-time as an engineer and feels passionately about the local community and was therefore very happy to join the Smarties Committee.

Emily

Secretary

Emily joined the committee in 2021. She’s a civil servant whose recent work has focused on analytics, information security and practice management. She hopes to make a small difference to Steeple Morden’s Community and Early Years Provision by volunteering on the Smarties Committee.

 

Amanda

Committee Member

Amanda works as an Associate Director of Workforce at a local university teaching hospital and volunteers locally as a youth football coach as well as being on the Smarties Committee. Amanda has previously held the role of Treasurer at Smarties and is continually impressed by the passion and dedication of the Smarties Team.

Zoe

Committee Member

Zoe is a journalist who specialises in politics and social affairs. She’s currently working part-time as a programme editor for a news channel. She especially loves the community feel to the Smarties setting and hopes to use her contacts within the local community to benefit the setting.
